The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board will hold a public meeting on June 26 to explain how it will pay for the new $31.6-million headquarters it plans to build at Crestwood school near Lime Ridge Mall.

The meeting is required by Ministry of Education regulations because the board plans to use reserve funds generated from the sale of administrative properties.

The board will also use money from the sale of existing administrative properties, like the Education Centre at 100 Main St. W., purchased by McMaster University to make way for a health campus.

The meeting takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. in Room One at the Education Centre. The public can also make written submissions and comment in an online survey at www.hwdsb.on.ca.
