Waterdown ballerinas shine

Dancemakerz students Lauren Beauparlant, Elissa Goodbrand and Hannah Visnovsky were handpicked to attend Canada’s National Ballet School’s professional ballet program this fall.

The aspiring ballerinas were three of seven local dancers who were chosen to attend the school's summer intensive, which served as a month-long audition for the professional program.

Beauparlant and Goodbrand will enrol in the program starting in September, when students in Grades 6-12 will begin their academic and dance training at the Toronto facility.

Visnovsky, however, opted to remain in Waterdown, where she’ll continue to pursue her passion for ballet and other styles of dance at Dancemakerz.
