Feelin’ froggy?

Male frog mating songs are one of the most distinct signs of spring, which area residents are once again invited to experience at Mountsberg Conservation Area.

The Frogwatcher’s Hikes — running Friday, Apr. 22 and Saturday, Apr. 23 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. — will take visitors through the park’s forests and wetlands to hear and possibly see a variety of frogs and reptiles and amphibians that inhabit the area.

A puppet show, visits to the pond and ‘Swamp Tromp’ will round out the festivities.

Pre-registration is required and can be done at www.conservationhalton.ca/events. Admission is $16 for adults and $11 for seniors and children five to 14 years of age. Kids four and under get in for free.

Mountsberg is located on Milburough Line, 5 km west of Campbellville between Hwy. 6 South and Guelph Line.
