News Apr 21, 2016 Flamborough Review

Five years ago, the Right Reverend Dr. Ralph Spence presented the Flamborough Coat of Arms and Flag, the result of nearly two years of work by the Grant of Arms Committee of the Waterdown-East Flamborough Heritage Society.

The committee worked with representatives from all over the Flamborough-Beverly region and the resulting coat of arms and flag represent the area’s rich natural environment and history.

Nathan Tidridge, history teacher and author, will be the speaker at the WEFHS meeting Fri., April 29 at St. James United Church (306 Parkside Dr., Waterdown), as he reflects on the hard work that went into creating these Flamborough treasures. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., meeting starts at 8 p.m.
