A 70-year-old Flamborough-area man is dead after a single-vehicle accident in Waterdown on Tuesday morning.
Hamilton Police Service Const. Lorraine Edwards said the man suffered a medical emergency while driving eastbound on Dundas Street and struck a lamppost at 10:43 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Edwards said the cause of death has not been determined.
Dundas Street was closed from Hamilton Street to Flamboro Street until shortly after 2 p.m. while the Collision Reconstruction Unit investigated.
