What's open and closed Civic holiday weekend in Flamborough

Monday is the Civic holiday.

Here’s a list of what’s open and closed in Flamborough and Hamilton this long weekend.

OPEN

• Malls and some retail outlets are open Monday, however, some may be operating holiday hours with COVID-19 restrictions. Grocery stores and some pharmacies in Waterdown are open, including:

• Flamborough Sobeys (255 Dundas St. East) from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Fortinos (115 Hamilton St. North) from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• Shoppers Drug Mart (25 Hamilton St. North), from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

• The Beer Store (70 Hamilton St. North), from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

CLOSED

• The city’s administrative offices will be closed Aug. 3.

• The Municipal Service Centre in Flamborough remains closed due to COVID-19. However, it is slated to reopen Aug. 17.

• All Hamilton Public Library locations are closed August 3.

• The Animal Services Shelter remains closed due to COVID-19. However, staff are working and all the animals in the shelter are being cared for. If you have an animal related emergency, call 905-574-3433.

• The LCBO is closed August 3.

SERVICES

• Community recycling centres and transfer stations are also closed Monday.

• There will be no recycling or garbage pickup Monday. Waste collection will take place on day later if it falls on the holiday. Confirm your collection date here.

• HSR is operating on a holiday schedule Monday.

• DARTS, which is also operating holiday service hours, has cancelled its Monday trips with the exception of dialysis. Passengers who need to travel on Aug. 3 must make advance reservations, according to the city.

• For emergencies involving road, water mains, sewer systems, public health and safety issues over the long weekend, call 905-546-2489.

• For animal services emergency issues, call 905-574-3433.
