Christmas spirit from a stranger

Opinion Dec 20, 2011 Flamborough Review

I wanted to bring attention to the "stranger" who found my wallet in a shopping cart this morning at Fortinos in Waterdown.

I had immediately cancelled my credit cards, and was about to head to the Service Ontario office to obtain a new licenve and health card, when my doorbell rang.  It was a stranger who had found my wallet in a cart in the parking lot and delivered it to my home.  Nothing was missing.

It is rare to find someone in today's age who will go out of his way to deliver a lost wallet – and a few days before Christmas. I think he was a true Christmas angel and saved me from having to replace all of my identification.  What an act of kindness and honesty!

Having moved to Waterdown from a large city, it is acts of kindness like this that make me love living in a small town like Waterdown where people are still looking out for others.

To the "stranger" who delivered my wallet...thank you kind sir!
