Dear MPP McMeekin,  

Thank you for being the man I hoped you would be when I voted for you!

Abortion can be such a touchy subject for the emotional and religious extremes and you answered them perfectly.

Women have come a long way from the  fear of back room abortions.

Choice and the freedom to practice that choice in a safe medical facility, was a battle well fought and deservingly won.

What short memories we have! If people feel the need to reduce the number of abortions maybe they should throw their energy and resources towards birth control accessibility and preventative education instead. Look at the “starting point” of the problem and stop shaming people for finding a safe solution.

Thank you for protecting a woman’s right to choose her own destiny.
