WhatsOn May 22, 2013 Flamborough Review

Two local authors will be on hand to help celebrate Pickwick Books’ anniversary, which runs June 8-9.

Shelley Calcagno, of Waterdown, will be signing her children’s book Tini’s Tangles from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 8, while Carlisle’s Nathan Tidridge, a history teacher at Waterdown District High School, will be signing his latest work, Prince Edward, Duke of Kent from 1 until 3 p.m.

Two years ago, Chris and Lori Dupee purchased the Dundas Street East bookstore. They have since made some improvements to the shop and are keen on celebrating their success with the community.

The Pickwick Books’ second anniversary sale runs from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on June 8 and from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on June 9. The shop is also hosting an inventory blowout sale at Sealey Park Scout Hall, 115 Main St. South, that weekend.
