Waterdown Village Theatre holding auditions for 'Pride and Prejudice'

Attention all actors and actresses in the Flamborough area: Waterdown Village Theatre is holding auditions for its production Pride and Prejudice by Jane Kendall, from the novel by Jane Austen and produced by special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Ill.

The play features 11 female roles and five male roles. There will be 10 performances that run Nov. 30-18.

The play is a one-set script based on Austen’s novel set in early 19th century England. It is directed by Lana Borsellino and produced by Don Thorne and assistant producer Helen Vaillancourt.

Auditions take place June 26 and 27, from 7-9 p.m. at St. James United Church, 306 Parkside Dr., Waterdown. The format will be cold readings, and no appointment is required.

Call backs take place on June 30. Rehearsals are every Sunday at 2:30 p.m., Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Fridays at 7 p.m. First read through begins Aug. 4.
